Study of isomers in neutron - rich magic 132 Sn region

چکیده
Shell model calculations have been done for interpreting two representative isomeric states in neutron rich Sn region using SMN and SMPN Hamiltonians. They are, (i) 2.91 min isomer in Cs and (ii) the 0.57 μs isomer in Sb nuclei. The results are compared with those obtained with KH5082 and CW5082 Hamiltonians. How the results clearly distinguish the most appropriate interaction has been discussed.

Lifetime measurements within the g-RISING campaign at GSI
Introduction and experimental technique Recent experiments on the magnetic moments of μs isomeric states, within the framework of the g-RISING campaign [1] at GSI, have additionally allowed new measurements of isomeric lifetimes in the very neutron rich side around the doubly magic Sn. These nuclei, which are very difficult to study, were produced by relativistic fission of U. Thus, the current...
متن کاملSTRUCTURE OF NEUTRON - RICH NUCLEI IN THE 132 Sn REGION
We report on a study of neutron-rich nuclei around 132 Sn in terms of the shell model employing a realistic effective interaction derived from the CD-Bonn nucleon-nucleon potential. We present results for some Sb and Te isotopes. Comparison shows that our results are in very good agreement with the available experimental data supporting confidence in the predictions of our calculations. This ma...
متن کاملA systematic study of Zr and Sn isotopes in the Relativistic Mean Field theory
The ground-state properties of Zr and Sn isotopes are studied within the relativistic mean field theory. Zr and Sn isotopes have received tremendous attention due to various reasons, including the predicted giant halos in the neutron-rich Zr isotopes, the unique feature of being robustly spherical in the region of 100 Sn ∼ 132 Sn and the particular interest of Sn isotopes to nuclear astrophysic...

متن کاملFragmentation of very neutron - rich projectiles around 132 Sn
We propose an experiment to isotopically identify and determine the production cross sections of residual nuclei in the fragmentation of very neutron-rich nuclei around Sn produced in the fission of relativistic U primary projectiles. These measurements will provide valuable information about a possible two-step reaction scheme (fission-fragmentation) to optimise the production of extremely neu...
